a hike

i love fall

since i missed utah's fall last year, i have been so excited for the leaves to change.

and over night they got amazing.


i can't stop looking at the mountains! just a tad bit obsessed.
but being away last year has really made me appreciate the fact i am here this fall.
we live in such a beautiful area, and i can't believe how lucky i am!
so last night me and jared took a drive up the canyon to soak it all in!

who is ready to go to a pumpkin patch, see thriller, sip some hot cocoa, wear their boots and sweaters, eat pumpkin cookies, see the leaves change colors, and carve pumpkins???
i know i sure am!

two things i am missing right now...

FALL.

the colors. the weather. the clothes you get to wear.

califonia has been at least 75 or higher. it hit a whopping 106 last week. as much as i do love the warmth, i want to bust out boots, and jackets, and tights! but it looks like it's finally starting to cool off, guess i should have taken advantage of the added summer bonus huh?

THRILLER.

it's killing me i can't go see thriller this year.

it's a yearly tradition for me to see it at least 2-3 times. at least!

i guess it's a good thing lil sis didn't try out this year, or else i would have probably hopped on a plane just to go to a show.

yes that is just how much i love it.

please go see it for me.

but i am more than happy to be living in CA.

my dad absolutely hates raking the leaves.
especially since we have a forest in our backyard.
so i thought i would take this boring job, and make it FUN.
this time i used an actual video camera, and my computer to film through the window.

a lovely fall bike ride

lately, because of the ugly snow and rain, i felt like i haven't been giving my bike much attention. so today i took her on a fun little ride. mainly to pass the time before the mail comes, i'm awaiting a rather large check :)

i live smack dab in the middle of a hill and so i could either go down the hill, but then i would have to eventually climb that monsterous beast. or i could go up the hill and then cruise down after.
i chose the second option. but instead of riding straight up wasatch i took the neighborhood route. the hills aren't as steep. but don't get me wrong, climbing hills on a bike that has only one gear... not so easy. but i did it! all the way up! i chose such a warm day to go, so cruising down the hill was a joy.


this time of year is perfect for a bike ride though. and i live in such a beautiful area, it was fun riding toward the huge gorgeous mountains. and riding down tree lined streets that have gathered the fallen leaves. i love riding over the leaves and hearing them crunch!
and i love fall! the weather lately has been perfect. i don't want it to end.
